If you have a WAP-enabled mobile phone and would like to keep track of your CPDN/BOINC progress, computers, etc, you can try:

(where # = your userid # which you should get on your home page at the bottom where it says "Account Number Used in URLs")

I got one of those freebie dyndns.org IP things just because cpdn.ath.cx/wap is easier to type into my mobile than climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc ! :-)

It should show you your personal & team total & recent avg credit, and your last 5 trickles (so you can tell things are running & how good or bad when you're on the road!)

Please let me know if you are having trouble, it should be really simple doc for your WAP-enabled mobile phone to get (i.e. no more than 1KB of text). And this is a "web service" so it's not like you have to call Oxford long-distance, it is just delivered by your local provider (so normal WAP rates will apply, for me on Orange it's 5p a hit I think).

Great idea. Someone is already doing this for seti@home. <a href="http://slavko.sk/wap/seti">http://slavko.sk/wap/seti</a>. Not sure if he has any plans for other projects. One slight snag I hit is that my phone's browser doesn't seem to let me type a ? in the URL. I can type up the URL in the text message editor and copy/paste though. I thought that was kind of strange... Don't have GPRS service at the moment so I can't actually try it but it looks good in my desktop browser :)
