I have 1.58 GB available on my disk, but still get this msg:

2005-05-30 16:21:47 [climateprediction.net] Message from server: No work available (there was work but you don't have enough disk space allocated)

How much do I need to free up to continue?

Thanks!

You'll need about 1GB for this project.
If you have old, completed models on your computer, read this.

Also check your settings on your preferences (Account page).
There is some info about this in the FAQ to the left of here.

Just looked, and you have two. Read the advice in the above link, and at the least, try moving these two OUTSIDE the BOINC folder.

I have the same problem. But I have 17 Go of free space, I'm using a 1GHz Powerbook with a 60 Go HD. All I get this:
there was work but you dont have enough disk space allocated
You must free 100.0 MB before BOINC gets space

I use Boinc Manager 4.37

See this item in the FAQ. It sounds like the default values BOINC has set up for you aren't sufficient (a HadSM3 model will require around 700 MB of disk space and a Sulphur one will peak out at something over 2 GB).

Thanks. My default values were 100 Go for Climate Prediction ! I brought it down to 5 and I'm waiting for data now. Apparently that solve the problem. But I'll still wait for work:
Message from server: no work sent
Message from server: (ther was work for other platforms)

I'll know more in 24 hours.
