Had Computer for 6 Months now.Have Ethical reasons
not to use Winxp.Am in phase 3 with only 100 some
odd hours left for my first Unit.If I changed over
could it Comprimise the work I have Completed, and
mess up with the last 100 hours to go?Does Linux
work \"as well\" if not Better? than Winxp
Sincerely
Doug Worrall

Quite simply, you cannot continue a Win model on Linux.

(compilation could put instructions in different order leading to some instructions missed or done twice)

With an Intel processor you will probably see a 10 - 15% speed gain under Linux. You may want to set up a dual boot system at first, and if so you will want to install a Linux version of BOINC separately. You can then run BOINC whichever OS you are using at the time. But as Chris says, each will run its own CPDN model.
