My boinc cross project id is showing wrong on the user account page -

http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/home.php

It took awhile, but in fact, cp.net is reporting the credit against the correct cross project id, which is:

c9ef0a9cd006a8de4c8a20ed80742ceb

But the user account web page has never updated. Just a little bug.

The CPID displayed on the web site has been changed to match the one exported with the stats dump. The server software here has not been updated with this change yet.

>

The one displayed on the website, for me, is incorrect. And it is not the one being put out in the stats dump, as you can see all my stats correctly, at boincstats

http://www.boincstats.com/stats/banner.php?id=204645

So, it appears there is a bug. I expected the web site info, to clear up eventually, but it has been a couple of days, since the boincstats credit started showing up, and still the cpid is incorrect, on the "my account" web page.

There are 2 threads that may be of interest.

>

Yeah, I already read those threads. I searched first thing. And so, I took the advice, and made sure all projects were on one machine, in one boinc.

That did indeed make the server CPIDs all match up to the original one, which was already on 4 out of the 5 projects. Just going through every project, and clicking update, seems to have done it. I am getting the right credit at boincstats now.

But it still shows the wrong cpid on the user account web page here.

I'll have to look into this, I think BOINC changed it's algorithm for the cpid (it's just a hash of an email address?) after CPDN was already up & running with BOINC for awhile, and our database was never adjusted for the new "stable" CPID.

You are correct Carl. The old algorithm used the largest numeric CPID, the current one uses the oldest one. The server here has not been updated to a recent enough version to reflect this yet.

You keep saying that. I'm telling you it is not true.

If you go to your acount page where the CPID is shown. The new version of the server software has a tag line there something like 'used in exporting statistics data' there. The older versions do not have this explanation.

Correct. I am not seeing that line, so I am seeing the old server software, I guess.
