I'm an OU student battling to get the program started and not finding answers to the problem. I'm using a G4 iMac, and have loaded CP Control, which runs. I already use SETI@home without a glitch.

In the OU pages, The "CPDN/BOINC beta test signup page style" page seems to be dud - I get an error when I fill in the form, which reads:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) in /var/www/html/insecure/user/postbeta.php on line 6
Could not connect : Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)

Can anybody help me with this?
