As of March 2005, BOINC climateprediction.net no longer works with Windows98/ME. If you are trying to run BOINC climateprediction.net on those operating sytems, you will likely have frequent crashes.

Programmers' time is being spent on other priorities so it is unlikely that compatibility will come back. There are no known workarounds.

Alternatives are:

1. Change your OS to Windows XP/2K/Vista/7 or Linux which do/will work with BOINC cpdn.
2. Run other BOINC projects that are compatible with Win98/ME.
