Hi, newcomer just getting used to running cpdn. Anyway I\'m running on an XP 2600+ 2.13 ghz system and have got a Norton firewall installed and having several problems. Firstly, it\'s frozen on me about 9 times now I guess now, it uses 100% of the cpu and usually freezes when using the net especially, but just froze when on the cpdn screensaver. Never had any freezing problems before starting cpdn. WOuld this be solved by threadmaster I\'ve read about? Secondly cause of the freezing I suspend it lots, and keep on losing cpu time and progress when I resume it, only about 20-30 mins but it adds up. I have been restricting the network access to the evenings if this makes a difference. Lastly, the completion time had rarely been declining. Yesterday the completion time went blank cause I don\'t think it had ever declind since starting the project so had to restart with a different project. Thanks for any help, |

Well you are real low on memory, 256 minimum, recommended 512... I take this one to mean; this is the amount you need after everything is loaded and you are far from that.... Use these to check for stability... Prime95 Torture test Memtest86+  BOINC Wiki
