I have been running Boinc for a while now and noticed that I am not requesting new work or reporting results, but I am. I have tried to change my prefs and nothing helps. How can I fix this? Please advise |

There\'s nothing to fix. What you\'re seeing is a trickle being sent to the scheduler every model year. There are 160 years in the model and you won\'t report your result until you\'ve completed all of them (or the model fails). 2006-05-24 09:46:47 [climateprediction.net] Sending scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi 2006-05-24 09:46:47 [climateprediction.net] Reason: To send trickle-up message 2006-05-24 09:46:47 [climateprediction.net] (not requesting new work or reporting completed tasks) 2006-05-24 09:46:52 [climateprediction.net] Scheduler request succeeded "The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer |

Your machine is steadily sending back trickle results, which is exactly as it should. These models take months to finish. Depending on the speed of the machine, if you do more than one project, etc. it can take from about 2 months to 12 months, or more. I have 3 machines running this, and one does the current model in 120 days, the other 2 do them in about 220 days. You are doing nothing wrong. |

And it\'s not helping to be so low on memory. The recommended minimum is 512 Megs. So your computer will be doing a lot of paging to the hd. |
