Hello,

Sorry, but I don\'t get any new work to do to one of the computers on wich I\'ve installed Climatepredicion on BOINC.

On the computer at home it works but on my workplaceI can\'t get any new job to do for climateprediction.

Do you know where it could come from ?

Thanks.

Marco.

Hi, Marco, welcome to the Boards.

Work computers are often under restricted access to the Internet. Is there a proxy server? Also, CPDN requires access through firewalls.

It might help if you copy/paste any error or status messages from the Manager\'s Messages tab.

Edit: If you just finished a Sulphur Cycle Run using boinc version 4.??, please uninstall it and download and install a 5.?? version -- necessary for thye Coupled Models.

By the way, the 1.0 GHz machine is below spec to run the Coupled Model. It might do it but would likely be trouble-prone and take a very long time.

I think I am having a problem with getting new work. Although it is not a firewall issue. I had a computational error and when I try to do an update to see if I can get a new workload...nothing. It has been a few weeks now. How can I get a new work?

Hi,

Could you copy-and-paste the contents of your \'messages\' tab onto a reply here, and also check the \'projects\' tab to see if there is the next \'no more work\' in italics to the right of the project name?

-Cheers,

Mike

Hi Liz,

It looks like it has downloaded a model to start working on, here is it\'s details:

http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=5992142

If you open up the boinc manager (the little \'B\' in the system tray at the lower right of the screen), you should see it listed on the work/tasks tab. Click on it once, and press \'Show Graphics\'. You should then see the model running.

If you can\'t find it on the work/tasks, then look at the \'messages\' tab instead, and copy-and-paste the contents here.

-Cheers,

Mike
