I know 1 year = 226.8 credits = 25920 TS... so, with 160 years WU x 226.8 = 36288 credits per WU. Now I noticed I always get 226.8 for trickle but I have more credits than trickles x 226.8 (i have 20 trickles returned and should have 4536, but I have 5,184.00)... How that happened? I also had a look at some other users and they had over 41000 for completed WU and should be over 36000 if one trickle is 226.8, also users crunching WU are also having more credits than trickles x 226.8... Are there some \"bonuses\" or what? Just wondering about that...Could not find anything on earlier posts :( |

Heh. Looks like you are correct. For my two completed models here, I used to have 36K odd credits per model, now it\'s 41K odd credits. Carl must have upped the credits per trickle and the calculation is being done retroactively for previous trickles as well. Probably a good thing as the credits I was getting for the same amount of crunching time in the coupled model was nowhere near what I was getting in sulphur or slab. |

Yeah, if trickles for hadcm3l now is worth 259.2 points it sums up fine with the extra points today. I believe it also was 259 in the latest coupled beta. |

Hmmm...it looks like maybe they have gone to the same method as on the seasonal project... steps/10 or something like that? |

Well, 10 minutes ago I also wondered about those 5600 \"Extra\"-Credits. After some searching on the boards it seems to me that there was a rise of the credits per trickle. Well, this is fine to me, except one thing: At least a single note about this should have been dropped at the news-section or at least at the message boards. Truly this raise of the trickles is not confirmed till now by the project team (respective Carl). I followed the struggles Rosetta@Home had when they changed their credit system \"over night\" - Moderators didn\'t have nice days (and nights) at all. I think that credits haven\'t been much of concern for CPDN-crunchers so far, but it seems that there are a lot of crunchers out there loving their stats. (I also like to watch - not more, not less.) And if something strange happens to them they get unconfortable with it. O.k., here it was in \"a positive\" way, but still people should get a short note of such a change. I already stated this matter in a previous post: Information is everything! Just (again) a hint for the future... EDIT: Just found the \"official\" statement here. Still my other thoughts remain... |

Looks the change was implemented for climate bbc as well -- I just got a significant credit \'boost\' there -- and it was made retroactive as it was here -- I have some systems which had been replaced months ago getting new credit. Hmmm...it looks like maybe they have gone to the same method as on the seasonal project... steps/10 or something like that? |
