If you\'d like to participate in the mac beta test, drop me an email at tolu at atm.ox.ac.uk
We\'re currently supporting the Intel platforms only.

I\'ve received the URL for the beta test. Unfortunately, I\'m unable to do anything with it. Firefox can\'t connect to the server and BOINC first says that the web site is not found and then that it can\'t connect to the Internet--asks me to connect first, then try again. Strange, since no other web site is giving me problems and BOINC has no problems finding my ISP connection with other projects. Any tips/tricks to getting attached?

Its back online now.

Try the correct name spelling and it should work.

You need to send Tolu an email at atm.ox.ac.uk
And note that this is still a TEST project.

Is this still in beta? Going to the applications list the mac program was installed on the 11th. I added my intel mac on the 12th of April. Have sent many trickles since then. Are we going to get credit for work done?

Beta is a seperate project with seperate beta applications.
The application which would used here in the main project is the stable application.

Beta has finished and is closed. All models are now running here on the public site.

There\'s currently a problem with credits for the new models, and patience is required. The project people are moving office, and have other things on their minds at the moment.

Thanks Les. I appreciate your prompt and accurate information. Ironically credit was given to the mac by the next morning. Keep up the good work.

It was a coding problem in the credits. See this thread.

Thanks for involving us. Will the beta credits transfer to the project?

The beta credits are still included in the main CPDN stats.
At your account page, under \"Credit From Other Affiliated climateprediction.net Projects\" under \"Beta Testing\" are my beta credits listed.

If they\'re NOT showing, then you need to \'synchronise your CPIDs\' ...

What this means is you need to:
* set up the same EMail address at all your projects,
* find a PC which is attached to all your projects, and
* click \'update\' against each one in turn.
* Repeat once or twice, and with luck every project will now have the same CPID.

Now wait for a couple of days for the credit totals to join up.

Per the red message on the Beta site, the Beta test is terminated. The Run won\'t be reported until the Trickle server is activated again, which might not be until the next Beta test.

Detaching Beta will not affect the \'live\' version.
