I signed up for this project about a half-hour ago, and my first two work units are currently running. The BOINC manager shows completion times for both of them at around 2666 hours, or over 3 1/2 months, with a due date of nearly a year from now!

These two work units are a bit large, to say the least. What\'s going on?

That sounds about right for a typical machine. It\'s a 160-year climate simulation after all.

The work units actually upload their progress as they go (in a \'trickle\' every model year) rather than uploading everything at the end.

I'm a volunteer and my views are my own.
