My first model was running good, and then i saw a message that read\"unrecoverable error for result hadcm3ohe_0jn6_05673760_0(<file_xfr_error><fine name>hadcm3ohe_o\" So I believe the program stopped/aborted and now I have new 3000 hour program running. What happened?

You can see what\'s going on by looking at the models on your account page. (Under Results).
This is the page listing all of them, and this is the page for the model in question.
As you can see from the messages near the bottom, it suffered from
Model crashed: umshell1.f: P_TH_ADJ : NEGATIVE PRESSURE VALUE CREATED.

This may be due to the values used to start the model being unviable, or it may have been due to a momentary computer problem. These can be caused by a computer that\'s not VERY stable, and again, there are many possible reasons for this.

The point of the research is not just to run the models for 160 years and see what the climate is like then, it\'s to run them until they fail, so that the researchers can find those starting values that produce long running models. And also to try and work out what it is that causes some combinations of values to fail early.

There are lots of hints, tips, and advice on the \'care and feeding\' of these climate models in the 4 README files here on the discussion board.
