There is going to be a vote for a new founder for the BBC team England as part of the BBC to CPDN transition. (Decisions cannot be made about changing the team name until we decide who the new founder should be.)

Voting will start on Tuesday 3rd April 2007, and will close on Sunday 8th April 2007 at midday. (These dates are in line with the poll for the new team name.)

This allows some time for canvassing before the voting opens and, for example, declaring unwillingness to stand. For example, RS does not wish to stand since he already has his hands full with being founder of CPDN and SAP. So please don’t vote for him.

To vote you must be a member of team England in BBC and/or CPDN.

The voting will be anonymous. Please send your votes by email, stating the name as displayed in the BBC and/or CPDN team to me at

ice dot baron at gmail dot com, ie, in the format of one.two@three.com

If you prefer, you can send me a pm (private message) in the team England forum http://england.brilliantsite.com – send to “Ice”.

The first vote you place counts – you cannot change it after you have voted.

I will display progress of the voting, but will not disclose who voted for who, on the team England forum http://england.brilliantsite.com. I will pass all voting emails sent to me to the site-admins of the forum for scrutiny.

The majority vote wins; there is only one vote for each person irrespective of how many teams in different projects you are in.

May the best person win!
