I would like to be able to compare the same date (and perhaps time)each year. Is it possible to take a \"still\" from the graphic and save it to disk?

Use the printscreen key.
Better still, Alt printscreen, as this will just save the image \'that has the focus\', and not everything on the display.
Then use control V in Word, (or a similar program) to paste it where it can be saved.

I prefer to use painting from menu accessories, you will get only image and not stupid word documents with megabytes.
