Hi, unfortunately I had forgotten to put a line in my credits database to show that we have released a new application (version 5.40, hadcm3i). This should now be fixed and the stats program is currently running so in an hour or so the new credits for those running 5.40 (on any platform) should be in place. Sorry for the inconvenience!

What about those running 5.41 on Linux?

It\'s tied to the application (# 6, hadcm3i), rather than the version, so Linux 5.41 and Mac 5.39 would be fine.

No problem. The trickles are working perfectly now, thanks for the effort!

thank you very much Carl for looking after this little problem.

But if you look at this result
you see that the last trickle shown is from 14.04 while the computer has send some trickles since this date (now it\'s at ~11,8%)
Another WU at the same computer (~4.5%) the last trickle received is shown at 18.04

Hi Tomcat

It looks as if your cpdn trickles are now getting through.

When members get the message \'Exited with zero status but no finished file...\' it usually does no harm and you can ignore it. But you mustn\'t reset the project as you\'d lose your workunit.

You shouldn\'t now be crunching a cpdn beta model. A few days ago Carl announced there that we should all move to the new 5.40 standard version models (5.41 for Linux). I wanted to give you a link to the beta forum to show you his announcement, but I can\'t access it. We aborted our beta models a few days ago.

In case the beta forum has been disconnected until further notice, I think I\'ll put a message in the main news and announcements telling members not to continue with beta models.

Are there any other problems about the messages you posted, or is that everything?

Hi Tomcat

No the only problem I see is trickles from wu adcm3inct_cnj2_1920_160_05865535_2 Result 6450435 are shown at the website, but only this one which send to 15. April.
While all the trickles from wu hadcm3inct_cmwb_1920_160_05864716 Result 6447157 are shown.
As the first wu is at 12% there should at least 17 trickles while it shows only ten! All trickles since 15.April are missing for that one!

To the betas:
I\'ve set cpdn beta to new work last Thursday and stopped all wu\'s one after one (last at monday) to let them send the last trickle before resetting.
Because the website from beta was down since Friday, I was waiting the client to send the last trickles.

But I don\'t think the betas interfere sending trickles from the main app. or do they?

More weirdness being displayed on the cp Web pages regarding one of my two current Intel Mac WUs:

http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=6440770
That shows that the last trickle was April 15, but in fact this WU has successfully submitted a number of trickles since then (running continuous 24/7). Here\'s a few from the Messages tab:

Mon Apr 16 02:34:48 2007|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request: To send trickle-up message

Tue Apr 17 19:06:57 2007|climateprediction.net|Scheduler RPC succeeded [server version 509]

The above WU is currently at 11.2% done in my Tasks tab.

The other WU does not have this issue:
http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=6447302
which does show trickles up through today. In the Tasks tab this WU shows as 4.07% done.

P.s. Another odd issue is that both WUs summary stats on cp.net show as having taken 0 CPU time, even though an accurate CPU seconds running total is given in the detailed trickle summaries.

Hi Tomcat

You are right, the beta models shouldn\'t have interfered with the trickles from normal models.

One or two other members have complained this week about trickles that were sent but don\'t appear on their web pages. We think that the data from these trickles is also included in the bigger 10-year upload so it won\'t matter that these trickles don\'t show. We need a confirmation of this from the programmers in Oxford.

Tomcat, it would help if you don\'t hide your computers for a few days please. We can\'t see any of your results - not even the results pages you posted links for.

Alan, I can see that one of your models also has missing trickles. Please read my post to Tomcat above this.

Don\'t worry about CPU time showing as 0 on the results page. I think this is the same for everybody\'s pages, and you\'ll see the same for my two models - the CPU time only shows in the trickle list, but shows as 0 in the summary at the top of the page.

...that the data from these trickles is also included in the bigger 10-year upload so it won\'t matter that these trickles don\'t show. We need a confirmation of this from the programmers in Oxford.

Thank you very much
The important thing is not to work for \"dev/null\"! ;)
The remaining part isn\'t as important if it even work for the scientific.

Tomcat, it would help if you don\'t hide your computers for a few days please. We can\'t see any of your results - not even the results pages you posted links for. ...

Sorry about this,
I\'ve made my computer visible. I saw the Links I did post also didn\'t work.
I\'ve (now) one Mac attached: http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/results.php?hostid=613470

as you can see it has 4 wu\'s loaded, three did crunch and trickle.
But while Result #6447157 http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=6447157 shows all trickles
the trickles from Result-ID #6450435 http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/trickle.php?resultid=6450435
seems to stop at 15.April to be registrated at the webpage.

Might be an idea to set \'network activity suspended\' for a few days so that the boinc manager keeps hold of the trickles for the time being.

I'm a volunteer and my views are my own.

Difficult to check up on as your computers are hidden. So we only have your word on it that they don\'t show on the site.

Yes I did,
and if I look in my preferences again I see this:

but if I go on the side with another browser (not to be logged in)
I can\'t see my computers too :O

Does it need some times to work ?
I did the changes about 3 hours ago.

Edit: I tested the Links I posted above - they did work

It\'s very well possible it needs time to change on the server here. I just reloaded the site forcing the cache to reload, it still shows hidden. So it\'s not that it\'s showing like that in my cache.

Any of the moderators here who can answer if it takes a day or so for such changes to propagate?
