I\'m trying to upload a file for more than a week and the result is always the same:

19/04/2007 8:01:57|climateprediction.net|[file_xfer] Started upload of file hadcm3ohe_1nyf_05726041_0_1.zip
19/04/2007 8:02:04|climateprediction.net|[file_xfer] Temporarily failed upload of hadcm3ohe_1nyf_05726041_0_1.zip: http error
19/04/2007 8:02:04|climateprediction.net|Backing off 2 hr 30 min 58 sec on upload of file hadcm3ohe_1nyf_05726041_0_1.zip

I have no problems with other projects so my internet connection works well. Is this normal? Can you help me?. Thanks in advance.

Might be an idea to set \'network activity suspended\' for a few days so that the boinc manager keeps hold of the trickles for the time being.

I'm a volunteer and my views are my own.

It looks like you\'ve lost the 10 year zip data.

It\'s possible that you have a network problem, even though your other projects work OK.

I\'ll ask on the php board about this.

The upload failure may have been caused by the servers at Oxford filling up again.
An upgrade to the hardware is hoped for soon.
The \'overload\' is usually temporary, and gets fixed after a few hours, or when the project people intervene.

BOINC only tries to upload for 14 days before giving up, so I guess the original week, plus these last few days, was too long.

I have the same problem - the message is

29/04/2007 08:04:58|climateprediction.net|[error] Error on file upload: can\'t open file /home/boinc/data/hadcm3ohe_0x94_05691434_1_4.zip: No space left on device

Is this a full server??

Regards

Yes.

News item here.
Hopefully the new 3TB raid5 server will be up and running by the end of the coming week.
