My computer has done 60.03% of sulphur_cycle.422 but in the messages tab it says that I should consider aborting. Should I keep going?

It\'s telling you that because the deadline for reporting the result was on 3rd February. This is something that is imposed by BOINC, but this project doesn\'t care too much about deadlines. As long as you\'re returning trickles fairly regularly the result is still valid (regardless of what it says on the website).

The project moved on to a new stage (running 160 year models with the effects of volcanoes and the ocean built in) not long after you started running your model.

Your system seems to be running the model at a reasonable rate when it\'s switched on, and the current pattern of trickles suggests it\'ll finish in about 9 months. I don\'t see much point in aborting the model if you\'re intending to download a replacement - the new model will run for twice as long as the current one if your pattern of running is the same (4 years instead of 2). The only question is whether the scientific research the model relates to will have been completed by the time you finish (I suspect it will, but can\'t guarantee that).

There are plans for a variety of different model types in the future, with the option to select the ones you want your system to run. The planned models are likely to have a varied mix of system requirements and run durations, and there\'s likely to be something more appropriate for your pattern of running when the sulphur model finishes.

If you\'re interested in any of the other projects that can be run under BOINC one of those might be more appropriate for you.

This is a list of some of the more established projects.
