This is the first time I have run this particular application. When I put BOINC in \"Snooze,\" the app still appears to be taking up memory, i.e. on others, when you put it in snooze or suspend, the memory it took up is vacated or whatever you call it.

It\'s kind of frustrating if I leave BOINC in snooze, but that memory is being taken up.

Firstly, do you have \'leave in memory\' turned on or off in the \'general preferences\' on the \'your account\' page on the website?

When you say \'other applications\' does that refer to other projects running within the same Boinc manager on the same PC?, or does it refer to other programmes which run on the PC?

Note that the task will be reluctant to leave memory if there has not been a checkpoint recently, since (depending on your PC and which model you are running) you could be losing up to 30 minutes of CPU time.

You can always exit the boinc manager via \'exit\' rather than snoozing it.

There do seem to be a lot of crashes listed against your PC, it may be worthwhile reading through the \'README - Crashes and other problems\' (you can find this by following the link in my signature). Running without the screensaver may help.

Thanks for the advice. I let climate run exclusively all morning and the problem was solved after it reached a checkpoint.
