For some reason, on the 7th July 2006 my PC was \'sent\' around 70 odd workunits that I can find no trace of.

I think these are phantoms as they all have a sent time of either 12:40:13 or 12:40:14. Its really annoying having these in the middle of my results and I was wondering if there was anyway of removing them from my results ? My account number is 158120 if this helps ...

thanks in advance

I invite correction but, as far as I know, once assigned, always assigned.

There is discussion of the issue elsewhere on the Boards but no \"resolution\".

Yes, want them or not, they are there for life.
Some people received hundreds.

Something will have gone wrong momentarily on the server and it obviously isn\'t your fault or your computer\'s. The same thing happened in Oct 2006 but to many more members. A very few got thousands of phantoms, none of which can be erased from their account web pages. We all realise it\'s a thorough nuisance.

Charles, while I was looking at your pages of models, I noticed that a few of your real recent models crashed with 107 or -107 error codes, both of which have similar causes. I would guess that you turned off the computer without exiting from BOINC first (I don\'t mean just closing the BOINC manager GUI), or you killed BOINC or the model using Task manager, or your graphics drivers need an update which is a free update from the web.

For more info on all of this and advice on keeping models safe, have a look at the CPDN READMEs which you can find by clicking on my signature. Don\'t try to read everything; go straight to the Crashes and problems README collection and within that, item #5 by MikeMars.

I hope the advice proves useful and provides some small compensation for posting about an insoluble problem.
