I have 2 8800GT\'s in SLI and when I hit about 7-9 hrs of processing I get a fortran runtime error. I used to get it with a single card until I turned off my screensavor. It\'s kind of annoying as I have to shut off any BOINC CPDN processing to change to SLI mode play my games and then shut off SLI before restarting any CPDN. Anyone else with the same problem or a solution

Pat

1) DON\'T install BOINC in C:\\Program Files when using Vista.
2) ALWAYS Exit from BOINC before playing games, video/audio streaming, or running any other resource intensive program.

(Fortran errors are mostly caused by resource conflicts, e.g. hard disk, ram.)

BOINC has been installed to the C:\\Program Files and CPDN does work as long as I don\'t use a screensavor (I have an LCD so I just send it to sleep after 5min). As for the resource intensive programs, I though BOINC was supposed to detect them and pause any processing tasks.

Vista causes problems in several ways.
The upcoming version 6 of BOINC will split the install, so that some some things are installed elsewhere by default. It will be \'service install\' only.
And the graphics will be split off, and handled differently.

With resource intensive programs, sometimes BOINC isn\'t fast enough to \'move aside\', and problems happen.
CPDN is one of the worst with this, as it has a lot of open files, and is written in Fortran, hence the Fortran errors.
