Sorry if this is a dumb question... But I have been running the same BOINC task for over a week non-stop (SLAB model) and I have just added another PC to my home network and, thru my router, to my broadband connection. Q. If I install BOINC on that second PC and log into my existing account, will I be able to run TWO different tasks on the SAME account simultaneously or will the existing client get confused and foul up the one task already running? I gather you cannot run the SAME task on more than one pc, but can I start ANOTHER task on this new pc on the same account, or should I open a new BOINC account? Don\'t want to mess up the work done so far. TIA |

Not a dumb question at all. Yes, just use the same credentials on the new machine (i.e. e-mail and password). BOINC will eventually marry everything together. The existing work will not be affected. |
