Message 34257 - Posted: 10 Jul 2008, 13:34:32 UTC

Hi,

I got this message today,

7/10/2008 2:40:28 PM|World Community Grid|Message from server: Invalid or missing account key. Visit this project\'s web site to get an account key.

i can see the account keys on the website, but i can\'t see anywhere to put them in the bionic client (i looked through the options/preferences).

Do i need to worry about this message? my client was inactive for 6 months and is 180 days over due.

thanks

orfeo

Yes, you will need to worry about it if you wish to return to crunching for World Community Grid.
It\'s needed to access your account on the relevant project, as an alternative to a password.

As for being overdue on this project, it doesn\'t matter, as the \'deadline\' is ignored.

It\'s NOT in the BOINC client.

When you log into a site, you need a username and a password.
OR you can use a username and the account key.

It will say this on the login page.
