I am now running Climateprediction with a intel core 2 quad, but i can only use 2 cores, the other 2 are just idled. I have set BOINC to use 100% CPU but the result is still the same. The there any way to let me boost my CPU usage?

The first thing to check is the BOINC preferences for the machine\'s location (i.e. \'work\', \'home\' or \'school\'): here. The item \"On multiprocessors, use at most\" should have at least four processors allowed.

Then check whether the preference has been overridden locally in BOINC Manager. Have a look at \'Advanced | Preferences | processor usage\' in BOINC Manager.

According to the CPDN Web site (here), BOINC knows about all four cores, so the operating system must know too.
