Hello all,
I started running CPDN last night and the model is at just over 7% and the disk usage went from 45 MB when it started to 6.04 GB now. I\'m only using a 80 GB HD . Will this work? Will it grow at the same rate as at 70%=60GB? I was reading and it said 2.5 GB for a sulphur cycle model. Thanks, Jack

Welcome to the project, Jack.

Disk usage ranges from just under 1 Gig, to a bit over, PER MODEL. It depends on which of the 3 types you run. (Selectable from the Prefs on your Account page.)

There is an option, selectable from Show graphics in Tasks, to record all of the data so that you can replay the creation of the model. This will eventually use lots of gigabytes of hd space. You can see if it\'s running by looking at the info to the left of the globe. (I think that the message flashes.)

(Extra options: Press Z to remove/show left hand overlay. Press 8 to display/hide the count-down-to-the-next-savepoint counter.)

Hi Jack,

There is one slab running on your PC, and that shouldn\'t take up 6 GB. There is, however, an option in the graphics that records an animation of the graphics to disk (CTRL+Q): it\'s possible that the key combination was pressed. I assume that pressing the key combination again will stop the recording.

Here, for example, is someone who had that problem. Another thread, here, confirms the \'toggle\' effect of CTRL+Q.

Tell us what happens ...

Iain

Thanks Les and Iain,
Nail on the head there. I was pushing buttons and turned it on. My second question I didn\'t ask was answered by you Iain in the link to delete these files. I\'ll wait till the model is done to do this so I don\'t accidentally mess it up. 21 and a half hours down 216 hours to go!! Thanks for the quick reply you saved me some disk space. I\'m planning on reading through the Q and A sections this weekend. Jack
