CPU is PenD. I got two tasks, smaller and bigger. The smaller one was over successfully and the bigger is still running.
Waiting for a new task for a day but nothing has happened. Anything to do ?

Thanks!

You are running other projects. The way BOINC works is a debt system and those other projects may need to have some debt repaid before you get a new CPDN task. It could take weeks.

I undestand the reason for taking time but weeks are too long
to wait for.

Thank you.

Resetting the project resets the long_term_debits for this particular project.

You can also edit client_state.xml and eliminate all lines containing the long_term_debits tags (stop BOINC before doing that)

Another way to make BOINC request a new CPDN model would be : suspend all other projects for a moment. It should immediately contact the CPDN server for new work.

The long term debits concept is not a very good one, especially for projects like CPDN it works really bad - but the BOINC devs think that there is no problem, so it will not be changed I guess.

BugG, you already have two CPDN 160-year models running. One has reached about 1926, the other about 1943.

Your computer has two cores and one model for each core. This is the maximum work your computer can do. You can reset other projects if you have no running tasks for them, but don\'t reset ClimatePrediction. This would abort your two models and you\'d have to start new ones.

After waiting for another day or so without getting any change, I suspended SETI to see what would happen and got a new one in seconds.
All projects are steadily running. I would like to express my thanks to all of you giving me support.
