Hi, just out of curiosity: Has there ever been any answer to the request for documentation? Andreas |

At the time I spent quite a while looking for information on the UK Met Office website but found nothing useful. I know they use several models themselves; they also provide the Unified Models that form the basis of CPDN models. I concluded, however, that even if I found Met Office descriptions they probably wouldn\'t be very useful to CPDN members because CPDN adapts the source model types for its own use, for example ensuring that PhD students at Oxford receive model results tailored to the requirements of their research. One example will be the regional model (I\'m not sure when this will be launched on the main project) for which two different regions are modelled at different resolutions even though both are obviously the same basic/source model type. I think the best place to find more information is in the descriptions of different experiments on the CPDN website: http://climateprediction.net/content/experiments The descriptions contain varying amounts of technical detail but do explain what the models have been (or are being) used for.
