The Participant Profiles page says you are a new user as of Sept 12th. There is another user Rahul Jain registered in August. Did you reattach your computer when you upgraded and use a different e-mail address?

Hi,
I had some problems with a message saying no work for the application selected. I had selected all so I ended up detaching CPDN and re-attaching as existing user. Every thing works fine but all my credits are also gone...

Curious to know what happened.

Cheers,

Per.

There are two users with your exact same username, one has very few credits, one has 129000. You need to attach the computer with the same e-mail address as the one with 129000.

Hello,
I have a similar problem. I have been running several BOINC projects including CPDN for a while now and recently decided to add more projects. I used BOINC manager to add (attach) the new projects. Everything was fine when I went to bed. I get up this morning and all my new projects have disappeared. I go through the process of reattaching them again and now my CPDN is showing a new user ID# with 0 credits. My old CPDN ID# number still shows on my BOINC widget from Mundayweb with my credits still showing. After investigating a little I realized somehow I must have created a new account. I recently changed E-Mail accounts and was using the new E-Mail address to attach the new projects and assume now that is what has happened. My question is this:

How do I update all of my BOINC accounts to reflect the new address and combine my new projects with my old projects? Do I need to delete the new projects and then update my E-Mail address on my BOINC account and THEN reattach the new projects? What do I do with the project data and work units that have already been downloaded to the newly attached projects?

Old CPDN ID# is: 91133
New CPDN ID# is: 620448

Thank you,

Dear LadyzGuy:

You are right. The problem is that you used a different email address to attach to the new projects. Your email address is you identity as far as the project is concerned.

I am not an expert on this, but, I don’t believe that there is any way to merge these 2 accounts. The only real solution that I can think of is to click “no new tasks” on the new projects, wait till the downloaded WU’s have finished and then detach from those projects. Then you can reattach to those projects using your old email address. That way they will be in the same account as all your other projects. The only problem with this is that you will loose the small number of credits earned by the WU’s run under the new account.

Hope this helps.
