Maximum memory exceeded

mo.v Volunteer moderator Send message Joined: 29 Sep 04 Posts: 2363 Credit: 14,611,758 RAC: 0	Message 41705 - Posted: 5 Mar 2011, 18:40:10 UTC When I was looking through the workunit for Crystalsys's HadSM iceworld to check whether any other members had hit the same problem I came across this computer: Intel quad with Vista and an up-to-date Boinc version. 2GB RAM for each core. This HadSM crashed very early with exit code -177 and the error message 'Maximum memory exceeded'. That's an unusual error. This computer has plenty of RAM and HadSM isn't a heavy memory-guzzler. Will this error have happened because the owner changed the default Boinc settings and allocated far too little memory to Boinc? Cpdn news ID: 41705 · Reply Quote
