As you can see from here, I now have most of my machines happily climate predicting. However the last one on the list, a 2.53GHz laptop has not submitted a single trickle even though it was one of the first I kicked off.

I can't see any obvious error messages in the Boinc client on that machine and it is connected to the same network as most of the others. Is this something I should be concerned about or is it just the way Boinc works?

Does the web page say how many workunits that computer has downloaded? If it is only one then there may be a connectivity problem. If it has downloaded several there may be a setup problem. Check the graphics and see if it has made progress, the first trickle is at about timestamp 10028(?). If the laptop is shut down and moved often that may be part of the problem since CPDN only checkpoints about every 144 timestamps. My trickles when from 2 a day to 1 every 3-5 days when other projects started working with CCv4.xx due to the time slicing code cutting them off between checkpoints (I expected it to go to 1 every other day or so).

can you find out the workunit/result name on this machine? It should be on the "boinc_gui" display. Since you say it was the earliest, it could be affected by an old "boinc feeder" problem that sometimes "mismatched" workunit id's sent out, so you are running the right workunit but our database has a different # for this hostid, and when it trickles it thinks it's not the right one. We should have all the data in our "msg_from_host" (i.e. trickles before they're processed) table. I thought I had matched things up but it's such an odd error (and I didn't want all beta testers to reset) that I'm sure some "slipped through."

and it does appear to be trickling now, so maybe everything is OK. I did have old seti running on the machine just finishing off a few WUs, so CPU was limited to 50% for a couple of days, but now it is 100% boinc. I'll keep an eye on it, but it looks like everything is OK for now.
