Uploading issues - RAPIT tasks

Trickles seem to work fine. Trickles go to their own server, so they don't count. Things like: HTTP internal server error and transient HTTP error tend to indicate a server problem, which may resolve itself. Its still an issue and I now have a backlog of files from 5 machines that can't upload. I have tried using a free uk-based proxy service and they usually fail with the uploads as well. There was/is a problem with multiple projects, that transfers could get jammed if there were too many pending from cpdn. Which caused BOINC to cycle through all files, get part way through, then move on to the next one. I thought this was fixed in version 7, but that may have been something else. This was documented on the defunct php board, but I think that the cure was to use a cc_config option (<max_file_xfers>N</max_file_xfers>) to set the limit to 1, or perhaps 2 files. There's also a time out limit option, (<http_transfer_timeout>seconds</http_transfer_timeout>), which could be set for a large figure. Perhaps the 2 of these together may help. And then there's the old standby, (<http_1_0>0\|1</http_1_0>) to force BOINC into a simpler mode. (Instead of secret handshakes, along with winking and nudging, it becomes: G'day mate. I have the time out at 120 seconds figuring if it didn't get an ack by 2 minutes that it wasn't likely to be getting one. I can try fiddling that. I only have a few einstein tasks uploading and they clear pretty quick so the only thing left is the cpdn files. I can try setting it down to 1 although that's usually what happens as the various uploads back off. It's set to the default of 2 per project. BOINC blog ID: 47260 · Reply Quote

Tried going back to 6.12.x but that trashed all the work units. Restored back. Tried 7.2.21 but still failed upload. Tried 7.0.20 which is about as far back as I can go without trashing work units.
