I am sorry to be rude, but I've just selected this project through BOINC, and no tasks have appeared (24hr). It may be my computer / setup, but it may be the project.

I've buzzed through a few threads here - including "NEWS" and I'm no wiser. If it's me, fine, I'll get it sorted - but if it's you ... the LEAST you can do is have a status posted - and maintained.

Thanks.

This project runs data sets for external researchers in various parts of the planet. They are the ones who decide when and how many data sets to release.

About 5,500 were released on the 7th, and were gone in a few hours because of the 20,000+ computers after work.

More work may not be available for a few weeks. One reason for this is it takes time for enough results to be finished so that the researchers can look at the results to see what to do next.

As for status, it's in the blue menu to the left of here, 5 from the bottom. It's called Server Status, and the list includes the number of data sets available for each type of model for which there's an application.

One of several threads where availability is talked about is VANISHING WU'S, which is currently a few posts below yours.

Thanks for a helpful reply.

I'll join another project; seems a shame to waste capacity when other may need it.

Before joining another project just make sure that your work buffer is set at something like 1 or 2 days do you dont get a ton of work dumped on you all at once.

And remember to leave get new tasks enabled for CPDN. Sooner or later you will get a Climate Model or two.
