I just signed up, downloaded and installed the BOINC program (ver 4.05) and waited for it to ask for my project URL and account key. But it didn't ask for anything. What did I do wrong? What should I do now?
(I use XP 2002, the current version that MS is regularly updating. My computer has a 2.53 Gigahertz Intel Pentium 4 processor.)
Thanks,
Deedee

It doesn't ask. You need to attach manually.

Go to the settings menu and select "attach to project". Then enter the URL and account number. :)

I was under the impression that BOINC asked if there are no projects allready attached.

Does it do the same thing on a fresh install? I assumed it only gave you that message if a previous install was detected...

No computers showing for up at the moment. It may well be worth resetting the project. (Right click the project on the projects tab). If that does not sort it out, try detaching from the project and reattaching again.
