I just noticed a bit ago that my Intel quad core cruncher is running at 75% CPU. One of the active BOINC tasks is CPDN, using 0% CPU, running for 50+ hours, showing 14.809% done, with 0 CPU time. It's currently suspended. Is there any hope for this WU, or should I just abort it? Regards, Ardis |

Probably should Abort it. But first, go into your prefs in your Account page, and unselect EVERYTHING except the ANZ models, and also the option after that, that means "accept anything". The reason being, you're crashing everything except the ANZ models, so you're only wasting time, electricity, and the data sets trying to run anything else. Note that the ANZ models are in short supply at present, because they're one of the 2 that Mac users have. |

Thanks for your response, Les. Any ideas about the crashes? There have been several lately. It's a standard Dell box running Win7HomePremiumSP3. Several other BOINC projects seem to run fine. Regards, Ardis |

... bear in mind that the regional models (i.e. ANZ, EU, PNW, AFR) have several processes, which are not all running at the same time. So don't abort the process in Task Manager as you'll crash the model. For example, each Africa model will have the following processes: hadam3p_afr_7.22_windows_intelx86.exe hadam3p_afr_um_7.22_windows_intelx86.exe hadrm3p_afr_um_7.22_windows_intelx86.exe |
