Yes, but probably not the one you're thinking of. The majority of the errors have come from Windows computers running BOINC in "service mode" - 'Protected Application Execution'. The BOINC developers unfortunately let a version of the BOINC API library - the tools which let science applications interact with BOINC - out of the door with a bug which prevents tasks running in service mode with current versions of BOINC. The CPDN developers unfortunately used the buggy version of the API when they built the hadcm3s application, and haven't had time to re-compile it yet.

If you were to uninstall BOINC (don't worry, that leaves all your data, tasks in progress etc., intact), and re-install in 'user' mode, then these jobs would have a chance of running.

That'll be the problem, but I'll wait until things get fixed rather than reinstalling.
