A computer I'd tried to use for CPDN didn't work out and is now completely defunct. However it's still listed as one of my computers. Unfortunately, a task was sent to it on Aug 27 which I didn't realize until looking at the record of all tasks sent to my computers.

Maybe I missed something obvious, but my question is how do I remove the non-existent computer from the list of my computers?

I'd appreciate any help with this problem.

The short answer is that it can't be done.

In boinc Manager, click 'climateprediction.net' (under Project) and 'No new tasks' (under Command). That will prevent boinc from requesting CPDN work. (There are other ways to do it but might be problematic if you plan to use the machine for other projects under boinc.)

EDIT: I no longer run Linux but my failing memory suggests the instruction will work. If not, one of our Linux experts will be along to set things aright.

No, it's the same with Linux.
And the computer will disappear from the "current" list after 30 days.
The reason it can't be completely removed, is that it has models associated with it.

Thanks to both of you for your answers. Guess I'll just wait it out, won't be long until 30 days has run its course. Shows CPDN is a serious commitment, kind of hard to get out of... :)
