After a reset on Mac, the replacement application doesn't seem to be available:

Did you reboot the system after replacing the application.

Yes: there were lots of Mac updates at the same time as the BOINC Manager upgrade, including some that triggered a reboot. Looking in Finder the ANZ application files are all there but 0 bytes long - as if the list of application parts had been obtained after the reset but not the application content itself.

It's my fault for forgetting whether the Mac still has a permissions problems on BOINC Manager updates, which the reset habit prevents. Pity I did the BM upgrade just as some new models appeared, grrrr ...

Thanks, Les.

Am also seen attempted downloads throwing error (other just "Error" or "Error attempting download".

Short of disconnecting/ reconnecting can't see what else to try.

This fault hasn't been fixed three days later but another batch of the tasks has just been released. Seems a trifle clueless to me.

Not sure under the current system of work coming from scientists around the world rather than from the Oxford Team where this needs to get fixed. Project will be aware of it from Les's email but if it needs fixing by the originating scientists before being re-issued it might take longer though my guess is that Oxford could remove the mac versions till it is fixed to save on their and our bandwidth?

Sorry folks. My original email got lost among a flurry of other emails about a different problem with the same model type.

So 2nd email just now, and the "Mac" problem should now be fixed.
