Hi,

I own Athlon 2000 XP+ and 2800 XP+.
Both machines dual-boot Windows NT 4.0 and Windows XP, using NT4 as Internet platform, while XP runs with no
Internet access (for security/privacy reasons).
BOINC 4.09 is installed on both OSes but of course XP can\'t send/receive WUs and results/trickles.

I already know that I\'ll never be able to process CPDN workunits with NT4, but it would be nice to prevent it from crashing on non-supported OS.

BOINC should skip processing any project\'s WUs not meeting requirements, so SETI/Predictor can continue running on those OSes without CPDN repeatedly crashing. Upload and Download seem to work without errors for ALL projects, including CPDN.

As soon as BOINC or the project\'s application detect supported OS, CPDN should start/continue processing as usual.

In short:

BOINC should prevent execution of CPDN on Win9x/NT
to not crash the WU. Uploads/Downloads should be allowed to continue as well as SETI etc.
