I just setup a new account and have everything setup on a sever with 32 logical cores. When I added this project I only got one task which is running supper slow, using almost no resources. I'd think this machine could handle several tasks at once. As a test I added LHC@home it immediately pulled about 100 tasks. Most of which are pending download but at least 3 have already started running. Is there something I'm missing? The project stats page says there's 13K jobs ready to send. |

I only got one task which is running supper slow On a much slower computer yesterday when I connected to the project, it only got one task initially and then the other three cores got theirs an hour later. Updating now might get some more. I don't remember noticing this behaviour before but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened. About running super slow, On a fast machine most tasks should take between about 5 and 8 days at a guess. 8 is about what the quickest ones take for my relatively slow fastest box. |

The processors are 2.6 Ghz and it's currently predicting 14d to finish. That sound about right? I'll keep an eye on it and see if more tasks show up later. |

Just checked and a dozen jobs are queued now. Weird, thanks. |

The processors are 2.6 Ghz and it's currently predicting 14d to finish. That sound about right? I suspect that they will go a bit faster than that but there is quite a bit of variation in task duration. Some models look at climate based on 25km squares, some on 50km squares. The higher resolution models taking longer. Also some models are as few as 13 months, some over 100. On my slowest box the longest ones take over two months. |

I just finished a task on a 2.6 GHz machine that took 152 days. It was an 85-month task. That was running 24/7. Just for perspective for anyone new reading this, those type of really long-running tasks have been rarities in the last decade. |

>It was an 85-month task. How can you tell how many months a task is? |
