Hi,

I'm unable to add https://climateprediction.net/ as a project in BOINC client. I already have other projects running and recently added another, so it's not proxy or firewall issues. However, I have tried to add https://climateprediction.net/ several times at different times, but had no luck. The only error message I get is "Failed to Add Project. Please try again later".

Any help in troubleshooting?

You can try going here and adding an account then signing in to that account with BOINC using email and password. I don't know of any issues with the site right now.

What computer hardware is it and what operating system is running on it?

When did you first start having a problem trying to add the project to a computer?

There was a problem with certificates in the Windows version of BOINC starting in late September of last year. That was fixed in the 64 bit version of BOINC for Windows with 7.16.20 released in October. If you are on Windows and running a version older than 7.16.20, that could be a problem. Also, if you are running on a version of Linux or MacOS that is End of Life/no longer updated, there could be a problem.

Thanks for this, geophi. The problem was my old version of BOINC. I had 7.14, and, for some reason, the client didn't realize there were new versions. I had to manually install 7.16.2.
